The company, who operates largely across northern Germany, will use the supply chain management solution for all 130 stores of its Famila and Markant banner operations as well as in its three logistics centres. Relex partner Wysupp will provide support for the implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Wholesale and retail operate separately at Bela and work with separate ordering processes. The family business wants to use the Relex solution to link the ordering and logistics processes of the two divisions, reduce inventories and optimise the availability of goods for its customers. With the Relex platform, Bela has found a future-orientated solution that can also adapt to future process changes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt Bela, we wanted a modern, integrated planning system that would bring processes together instead of treating them in silos,\u201d says Christian Hirdes, Project Manager SCM at Bartels-Langness Handelsgesellschaft: \u201cWe feel a holistic approach is a prerequisite for any future-proof planning of our wholesale and retail business. We trust that Relex will simplify our processes with greater transparency and provide us with a more efficient way of working.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Significant successes at Lidl<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In recent years, the Finnish supply chain management solution provider has been able to win important German retailers as clients such as Edeka, the Rewe Group, Fressnapf and Rossmann. With Lidl and Aldi Nord, two discounter giants are also relying on Relex. <span style=\"font-style: normal !msorm;\"><em>Lebensmittel Zeitung<\/em><\/span>, citing a presentation by Tim Still, Head of Artificial Intelligence Engineering at Schwarz Digits, at the <span style=\"font-style: normal !msorm;\"><em>EHI Technology Days<\/em><\/span>, has now reported that Lidl has succeeded in reducing excess stock and waste thanks to the Relex solution.
