With the move, the retailer wants to optimise communication between employees in its 300 stores and its head office on a standardised digital platform. The company expects to better integrate employees, optimise stock levels, and improve customer experience.<\/p>\n<p>The new solution is set to ensure that tasks are completed more quickly, facilitate employee training, and improve compliance. It enables the head office team, district managers and store employees to communicate in real time. They can access a shared platform via mobile handhelds or tablets.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted to replace inconsistent usage of Sharepoint, email and other tools for our communication and task management and introduce a new solution, which is integrated into our IT infrastructure, is scalable, streamlines our processes and makes them more efficient,&#8221; explains Alexander Zickwolf, Head of Sales Development &amp; Support at M-Preis in a press release. He also reports that the company is already discussing introduction of the solution at its Italian M-Preis stores, due to potential cost and time savings gained through the new processes.<\/p>\n<h3>Solution supports digital transformation<\/h3>\n<p>Zebra\u2019s project team identified requirements and long-term transformation plans of M-Preis and compiled a package from the platform&#8217;s various modules. With Workcloud Task Management, store managers can create task lists and send them to the mobile devices of the relevant employees. They can then see which tasks they need to complete. Managers and store staff should thus gain more transparency and autonomy in their roles. In the event of new urgent matters, such as customer enquiries or when colleagues need support, employees receive a direct message via the system.<\/p>\n<p>Workcloud Visual supports employees with graphical presentations and advertising, for example when realising in-store displays or seasonal promotions. They can document their progress and results by capturing images. With Workcloud Walk on their devices, area managers can carry out uniform store tours using standardised questionnaires. If necessary, they can use the platform to assign tasks for corrections or improvements to the responsible employees and see when the jobs have been completed.
