With the acquisition, the Japanese technology supplier aims to expand its retail portfolio beyond the cash handling machine business. Glory has already diversified its portfolio in 2020: With the acquisition of Acrelec, the company entered the self-service terminal market of quick-service restaurant providers. And with the gradual acquisition of the OneBanx software platform, Glory is now also active in the banking software business.<\/p>\n<p>British POS software provider Flooid (formerly PCMS) has worked its way up to second place in the provider ranking for new POS software installations in 2023 with new customers such as US drugstore giant Walgreens, <a href=\"https:\/\/retail-optimiser.de\/en\/gk-and-flooid-are-growing-strongly-in-the-pos-software-market\/\">according to an analysis by <em>RBR Data Services<\/em><\/a>. In the UK, Marks&amp;Spencer, John Lewis department stores and their grocery sister company Waitrose are among the users of the solution. In Germany, department store operator Galeria relies on Flooid at the checkouts.
