Europe&#8217;s leading retailer of pet supplies, which operates outside of the German speaking countries under the banner Maxi Zoo, will migrate all its store services to the GK Cloud4Retail cloud platform.<\/p>\n<p>Fressnapf has been using GK&#8217;s store solution since 2013. The agreement signed in August aims to create a future-proof omnichannel architecture that will enable flexible expansion and simplify processes for customers and employees.<\/p>\n<p>Fressnapf had been trying to introduce the Enfore POS software since 2020 \u2013 a project that dragged on for years before coming to an end in October 2024, when NumberFour AG filed for insolvency, <a href=\"https:\/\/retail-optimiser.de\/en\/fressnapf-is-looking-for-new-pos-software-after-enfore-bankruptcy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">as reported by <em>The<\/em> <em>Retail Optimiser<\/em><\/a>. At the time, insiders told <em>The Retail Optimiser<\/em> that Fressnapf had already contacted several established POS software providers. The pet specialists have now chosen the experienced partner GK.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Fressnapf rethinks store processes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cGK Cloud4Retail\u2019s ability to combine the strengths of a reliable platform with modular extensions is a key success factor for us,\u201d explains Randy John, Vice President of Product Development Digital Store Solution at Fressnapf. The aim is to provide stores and employees with a stable and user-friendly solution that can be continuously expanded.<\/p>\n<p>Fressnapf is increasingly focusing on all services for customers and employees in its stores and wants to rethink all digital touchpoints in its markets \u2013 from the POS to store merchandise management and all tools for advising customers, also with the aim of creating an omnichannel shopping experience. The requirements for the new store system were defined in concept workshops with GK.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Transformation following a change in management <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Cloud4Retail platform offers a fully integrated, scalable, and modular architecture, from POS and mobile consulting to self-service and smart devices. With over 65 country adaptations, GK\u2019s solution supports rapid growth and international expansion as well as different local requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to choose GK comes at a time of major change at Fressnapf: following the entry of investment company Cinven in summer 2024, CEO Johannes Steegmann was the first to leave the retail company. In May of this year, IT chief Benjamin Beinroth, who had played a key role in shaping Fressnapf&#8217;s system landscape for over nine years, also departed. <a href=\"https:\/\/retail-optimiser.de\/en\/fressnapf-loses-head-of-it-benjamin-beinroth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The<\/em> <em>Retail Optimiser<\/em> reported<\/a>.
