The implementation of the Service Now platform in September this year is intended to digitise and simplify internal service processes between stores and headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>Diebold Nixdorf already supports all the drugstore operator&#8217;s outlets in Germany via its e-services portal. Successful rollout of services and retail technology to Switzerland, based on a jointly created model for operating, monitoring and servicing Rossmann\u2018s store technology infrastructure in Germany, is set to serve as a blueprint for further expansion in other European locations.<\/p>\n<p>Services of the technology provider include software installation and inventory management of the entire hardware infrastructure. Via its e-services portal, Diebold Nixdorf already delivers managed services for around 10,000 devices, including self-checkouts and POS systems. Over the next two years, Rossmann plans to connect additional end devices to the DN e-services portal. These will also include back-office PCs, which the company is currently replacing with DN Series Beetle M2110 hardware.<\/p>\n<h3>Service processes centralised and digitised<\/h3>\n<p>In addition, the drugstore operator plans to closely link store monitoring to its Service Now platform. This serves as a central enterprise service management system (ESM). The implementation of Service Now in September this year aims to digitise and simplify internal service processes between stores and headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, the DN e-services portal provides relevant store and process data. This is intended to provide Rossmann&#8217;s IT operations teams with recommendations for action and support them in further optimising its IT infrastructure.<\/p>\n<h3>Two manufacturers supply SCOs<\/h3>\n<p>Since 2021, Rossmann has been using hardware from Diebold Nixdorf for its POS systems. The company also sources self-checkout systems from shopfitting company Kesseb\u00f6hmer as part of a two-manufacturer strategy.
