Fnac Darty has selected Fluent Commerce as order management system. The French retailer of consumer electronics, domestic appliances wants to standardise processes across its sales channels by 2030 and improve how it manages inventory, product availability and order status.<\/p>\n

The Fluent Order Management solution centralises data and provides a real-time view of inventory, product availability and order status. It will enable the retailer\u2019s teams to make faster decisions and execute logistics more efficiently. The platform uses artificial intelligence to forecast demand, optimise stock allocation and personalise customer journeys across all touchpoints.<\/p>\n

The Fluent Commerce solution runs on a cloud-based, modular platform that integrates into existing IT configurations. Its API-first architecture allows retailers to adapt processes quickly and launch new use cases without major disruption.<\/p>\n

Harmonised processes to boost efficiency<\/h3>\n

The solution enables a gradual modernisation of the retailer\u2019s legacy technology ecosystem while maintaining business continuity. This capability is critical for two reasons. Firstly, Fnac Darty will be able to integrate new sales channels more easily and prepare for future models such as AI agent-driven commerce.<\/p>\n

Secondly, the platform will align operational processes across the Fnac and Darty banners. This step marks a significant milestone a decade after the acquisition of the latter by Fnac. Both brands will follow consistent workflows, which will lead to simplified execution and reduced operational complexity. Fluent Commerce other clients include British non-food retailers such as JD Sports and Kingfisher.<\/p>\n

Deployment supports long-term transformation<\/h3>\n

The implementation of the unified Order Management System is led and executed by French digital transformation agency Viseo. It forms part of the retailer\u2019s wider transformation plan for its information system, dubbed Horizon.<\/p>\n

Fnac Darty operates across 15 countries via marketplaces, e-commerce and close to 1,500 stores. Germany-based Ceconomy, the parent company of MediaMarkt and Saturn, holds a significant minority stake in Fnac Darty. Currently, Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com is in the process of acquiring a majority \u2013 and likely full control \u2013 of Ceconomy.<\/p>\n
