Longchamp rolls out OneStock Order Management worldwide
Longchamp is revamping its order management with solutions from omnichannel specialist OneStock. With this step, the French fashion company aims to optimise the customer journey across all sales channels and support its growth plans.
Longchamp is a family-owned company that sells bags, luggage, accessories, shoes and women’s fashion under its brand name in 80 countries through specialist retailers, online and 325 of its own stores. With the help of OneStock’s platform, the company aims to open new sales channels and accelerate international expansion. The solution is designed to enable new services for customers and provide more reliable delivery forecasts.
Using the cloud-based platform, Longchamp aims to better integrate its omnichannel services, such as Click & Collect, Ship from Store and returns management, and improve shopping experience at its stores and online. The solution’s open architecture is designed to ensure seamless integration into the existing system landscape via APIs.
AI orchestrates orders
OneStock integrates inventory data from all locations where products on offer are located, such as distribution centres, store locations or suppliers. The order management system consolidates available stock and displays it for ordering from websites, marketplaces or stores. This allows interested consumers to see which items are currently available.
The system uses customisable business rules combined with self-learning algorithms to assign orders to a specific storage location in real time. It considers factors such as geographical proximity, delivery costs, stock levels, number of packages and shipping locations. This allows Longchamp to optimise delivery according to its own criteria, such as speed or profitability.
OMS integrates omnichannel solutions
The OMS can help eliminate delivery bottlenecks by fulfilling online orders from store inventory (ship-from-store). The Order-in-Store function allows customers to purchase items not on shelves. Click & Collect offers customers the option of picking up their purchases at a store of their choice. Returns management allows them to return products purchased online to one of the brand stores.
