Rema 1000 modernises store IT with GK
Rema 1000 has selected GK Software as its technology partner for store operations. The Norwegian discounter is standardising its in-store processes and migrating the IT infrastructure of its more than 680 stores in Norway to the cloud-based Cloud4Retail platform. The rollout has already begun.
By choosing GK’s solution, Rema 1000 is working toward its goal of creating a flexible and scalable in-store ecosystem. With Cloud4Retail, the retail company is laying the foundation for consistent, personalised and future-proof shopping experiences across all touchpoints.
The aim is rapid, agile implementation during ongoing operations. Rema 1000 and GK emphasise the importance of partnership and cooperation. “We’re honored that REMA 1000 has placed its trust in GK”, says Michael Scheibner, CEO of GK Software. “This collaboration was built on shared ambitions for customer-centric innovation and teamwork. Together, we are setting a new standard for grocery retail.”
Rema 1000 is part of the Reitan AS and, in addition to its Norwegian stores, has locations in Denmark. The Reitan Retail group has a diverse portfolio of brands in the convenience and petrol station sector. This includes Narvesen, Pressbyrån, R-kioski, R-kiosk and 7-Eleven stores, which operate in Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
