L. Stroetmann is replacing its existing Oracle checkout software with drs/Store from DRS deutsche Retail Services AG. The retailer’s board member Dr David Schüppler told The Retail Optimiser that the Edeka wholesaler and retailer's seven E-Centres and around 80 stores from affiliated independent retailers would be equipped with the new solution by the end of the year.

Retail company Georg Jos. Kaes has opened its first V-mini store without staffed checkouts in Kaufbeuren.
