Rewe is launching a new pickup service called Drive&Go in Euskirchen, Germany. Shoppers can collect their online orders without leaving their cars. The service is part of a pilot project in the Rewe Region West and aims to make shopping more convenient for customers’ daily lives.

Rewe is once again piloting deployment of delivery robots from US specialist Starship. Customers in the vicinity of the Rewe store at Holsteinischer Kamp 53 in Hamburg's Barmbek district can have their grocery orders delivered by the self-driving vehicles. The company had already tested them in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel over a period of six months in 2023.

At the Rewe Center in Cologne-Bickendorf of independent merchants Daniel and Boris Dugandzic, Rewe Digital has installed special tablet computers on around half of all 220 shopping trolleys to guide customers through the store. However, the devices are currently not used for self-scanning, for which customers still have to use the Zebra devices or their own smartphone.
