Takko optimises supply chain with Relex

Fashion discounter Takko Fashion has chosen the Relex platform to optimise its forecasting, replenishment and inventory management and thus increase overall efficiency. The retailer, which has over 2,000 stores in 17 countries and an online store, is also using the solution to support its omnichannel strategy.

Takko Fashion distributes over 150 million garments a year across its three logistics centres. Previously, the fashion retailer used an isolated allocation process that was spread across multiple systems and tables and was difficult to manage. With the integrated solution from Relex, Takko is able to optimise inventory management, improve demand forecasting, ensure smooth distribution and enable effective price reductions.

Finnish software company Relex uses demand data at transaction level to improve inventory planning in a targeted manner. The solution monitors the season, anticipates stock-outs and avoids them by adjusting markdowns.

Precise demand analysis and omnichannel strategy

Using item-level demand data, the fashion retailer can now identify specific patterns for each size and colour, enabling more accurate forecasting and better inventory management. The Relex platform also has omnichannel capabilities, allowing separate forecasts to be made for bricks and mortar and online retail.

“With our continued growth, we needed a system that could handle the complexity of our processes”, says Peter Meinert, Director Merchandise Planning and Allocation at Takko Fashion: “The Relex platform will enable us to effectively manage and quickly respond to market and demand developments, thus providing our customers with a better shopping experience. This way, we ensure that both our bricks and mortar stores and our online shop have the items in stock in the colour and size that are in demand.”
