NIQ Brandbank migrates to Bayard’s GDSN data pool Byrd b-synced
NIQ Brandbank is switching its connection to the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN) to Bayard’s Byrd b-synced technology. The Nielsen company is thus replacing its existing GDSN data pool technology with Bayard’s solution. NIQ Brandbank’s Shopper Experience Platform is already used by more than 5,500 manufacturers and retailers and manages the product content of around 350,000 products. Before being acquired by the Nielsen Group, Brandbank had already made a name for itself as a product content hub, first with Tesco and then with other British retail giants. By connecting to Byrd b-synced, NIQ Brandbank will enable its users to seamlessly exchange product content over the GDSN in the future.
With this collaboration, NIQ Brandbank is responding to the increasing demand for GDSN connections in international markets. According to Steve Burdett, this is to both support their respective global customer base but also prepares their business to support GDSN as the “global currency of product content management”. The migration to Byrd b-synced not only serves current market requirements but also prepares the company for future developments in existing markets.
According to Steve Burdett, the decision in favour of Byrd b-synced was made after an extensive evaluation of numerous providers. “Byrd b-synced’s state-of-the-art technology with its flexibility and high level of integration capability convinced us,” reports Burdett. In addition to its technological superiority, he also praised Bayard’s extensive GDSN know-how: “Bayard’s high expertise in all matters relating to the national design of the GDSN in the various European countries really impressed us.” In addition to the German-speaking area, the Benelux countries, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are particularly important for NIQ Brandbank.
Bayard convinces with technology and know-how
“We are delighted that more and more product content platforms around the world are recognising the outstanding quality of our technology and relying on Byrd b-synced for their GDSN connection,” says Björn Bayard, Managing Director of Bayard.
