Sonderpreis introduces digital receipts with Anybill and Zucchetti

Fishbull Franz Fischer has introduced digital receipts in its almost 350 Sonderpreis DIY stores. Customers can get their digital receipt either by scanning a QR code on the customer display of the checkout or directly in the Sonderpreis app. The solution was realised with Anybill and Zucchetti. Italian Zucchetti Group had acquired the POS Software Eurosuite used in the Sonderpreis DIY stores in 2021 with the company Awek, which previously was part of GK.

Tool manufacturer Fishbull Franz Fischer has been bringing its own DIY stores to the German marketsince 2005 through a rapidly growing franchise system. In 2017, with the support of the developers at Dot-Source, the company launched its own special price app for its customers. When developing the digital receipt, it was important to the Sonderpreis team that it not only be available to app users.

“We wanted a solution that not only works for app users, but also offers added value to all customers. The digital receipt creates exactly this additional point of contact at the POS and strengthens our digital customer loyalty,‘ says Marcus Kienel, Managing Director at Sonderpreis Baumarkt: ’The digital receipt is impressive on several levels: we are significantly reducing paper consumption, streamlining our store processes and opening up new opportunities for dialogue. The implementation went smoothly.”

New touchpoint directly at the POS

The digital receipt replaces the traditional paper receipt and can be conveniently scanned via QR code or saved in the app. This creates a new digital touchpoint directly at the point of sale – regardless of whether someone is already a registered app user or not. For Sonderpreis Baumarkt, this is an important step in further expanding its omnichannel strategy and reaching more customers digitally.
