GS1 Germany sells Atrify to 1Worldsync. The divestment unexpectedly reunites two major GDSN data pools. The 1Worldsync joint venture had only been separated in 2019, as GS1 US withdrew from the data pool business as one of the shareholders.

Aldi Süd is continuing its rollout of self-checkouts at great speed. Each week, about 50 newly opened or renovated stores in Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Australia and the USA deploy an average of three of the systems each. The technology comes from Diebold Nixdorf.
