JB Hi-Fi to equip all its stores with Vusion
JB Hi-Fi plans to roll out Vusion’s technology across all its stores in Australia and New Zealand. The Australian electronics retailer has announced the full-scale rollout following a successful pilot phase.
Vusion’s platform will provide more accurate pricing and product information at the shelf, helping store teams to implement changes more quickly. The solution is also designed to reduce repetitive manual tasks and ensure that in-store information is better aligned with the retailer’s online offering.
Employees will be able to use mobile devices to access additional product information at the shelf in a contactless way. This includes details of available models and colours, financing options and additional product content, helping teams to provide better advice to customers.
Rollout based on existing Cisco Meraki infrastructure
This should mean that JB Hi-Fi requires less additional infrastructure, making it easier for them to roll out the technology.
The integration is also intended to reduce operating costs. At the same time, however, JB Hi-Fi aims to retain the look and feel of its stores and its existing merchandising culture.
JB Hi-Fi strengthens its store teams
“JB Hi-Fi is focused on innovation that delivers efficiencies to our store operations and supports our teams in serving customers,” says Cameron Trainor, MD of JB Hi-Fi Australia. The platform is also intended to support store teams and improve execution in stores.
The electronics retailer is part of the JB Hi-Fi Group alongside JB Hi-Fi New Zealand, The Good Guys and e&s. The group employs more than 17,000 people and operates 355 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
