HSE develops products collaboratively with Aptos

Teleshopping provider Home Shopping Europe (HSE) relies on Aptos’ new cloud-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution for procurement of goods, collection planning, product development and purchase planning.

HSE has been using Aptos’ Supply Chain Management (SCM) solution for years and is now fully integrating it with collaborative product management. Thus, the teleshopping provider wants to realise an integrated approach to managing the processes of collection planning, purchasing and the supply chain.

The Live Commerce experts offer an extensive range of mostly exclusive products in the product groups of fashion, jewellery, cosmetics, wellness and home & living, primarily in the German speaking countries. Customers in Italy and Russia can buy from HSE as well. Whether via TV channels, online portals, an app or social networks, the offers are available to consumers around the clock.

HSE aims to address the growing pressure of competition from online retailers by accelerating its processes and making product development and procurement more efficient. In view of the diversified product portfolio and the number of distribution channels being used by now, Rainer Stäbler, COO at HSE, sees a need for software applications that provide a comprehensive overview of the entire procurement process.

Next generation of the Aptos PLM solution

HSE is now using the new version of Aptos PLM to manage all phases of the goods procurement process, including collection planning and open-to-buy, product design and development, and detailed costing and purchasing. Specifically for planning, HSE can sort the assortment by any dimension and attribute − for example, price, materials used, colours and sizes − and examine it from both an analytical and a visual perspective. This aims at quickly providing decision-makers with insights into how new styles combine.

Aptos had acquired its original PLM solution in 2017 with TXT Retail. In the latest version of its PLM solution, Aptos has further developed the functionalities for planning and the connection of supply partners.
