Edeka Group has rolled out new pick-by-voice technology to the logistics centres from six of its seven regional companies. For order picking, employees now wear Lydia Voice Wear smart vests. Logistics solutions specialist Ehrhardt Partner Group (EPG) implemented both hardware and software.

Denner has started to enable its suppliers to deliver their product content via industry-wide networks such as the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN) and Swiss Trustbox. For this purpose, the discounter, which belongs to Migros Group, uses Bayard's Byrd platform, which it has fully integrated into its Syndigo (Riversand) system.

The GS1 organisation of Switzerland is tackling the issue of industry-wide product data management in a new way. Based on the Byrd platform from Cologne-based specialists Bayard, it will build a product content hub that will replace the current Trustbox solution, but also offer an independent Swiss connection to the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN).
