Co-operative Group unveils quick-commerce data platform with Estore
British Co-operative Group has selected digital commerce data specialist Estore Brands to launch Co-op Catalyst. This analytics platform, set to open in late 2026, will give suppliers direct access to the retailer’s own quick-commerce data. This channel has indeed remained largely a data blind spot, while Co-op aims to double its quick-commerce sales by 2030 to more than a 1 billion British pounds (1.2 billion Euros).
The platform covers Co-op’s online shop and delivery aggregator partners, providing suppliers with visibility of product performance, search behaviour and store-level availability. It combines digital shelf analytics with retailer-sourced performance data, enabling brands to assess sales, online share, traffic and conversion across the channel.
Suppliers can identify out-of-stocks and unpicked items at individual stores, helping them pinpoint where availability issues may be affecting sales. Co-op Catalyst also provides search-term analytics, showing which products perform best for particular searches and which terms convert, alongside competitor and category benchmarks.
A shared data view for suppliers
The platform is designed to support joint Digital Category Management between Co-op and its suppliers. Both parties can work from the same retailer data to identify opportunities, develop recommendations, implement changes across Co-op’s online and aggregator channels, and measure their impact.
Co-op works with several delivery operators, including Deliveroo, Just Eat, and Uber Eats. The latter renewed its partnership with the retailer in 2025 for three years. Leveraging a network of over 2,300 stores reaching 90 per cent of the UK population, Co-op presents itself as Britain’s leading supermarket in quick commerce, actively contending with native operators and rival services such as Tesco Whoosh or Sainsbury’s Chop Chop.
