Lekkerland has opened its first railway station store in Koblenz. The unmanned smart store works with technology from Reckon.ai. The Rewe subsidiary sees great potential for cashierless stores at railway stations and airports.

Spar Switzerland has teamed up with service station operator Avia to open its first autonomous Spar Express convenience store in its country. Via smartphone, customers gain access and register their purchases in the store.

In its new convenience format Quartier, Tegut is piloting self-scanning in combination with stationary self-checkouts on a new technological basis. For the first time, Tegut is using the software from GK. The self-scanning apps for both formats were developed by Aracom.
