Rewe is launching a new pickup service called Drive&Go in Euskirchen, Germany. Shoppers can collect their online orders without leaving their cars. The service is part of a pilot project in the Rewe Region West and aims to make shopping more convenient for customers’ daily lives.

Kaufland is rolling out self-checkouts from Itab throughout Germany. Outside of Germany, the retailer is also working with 4POS in addition to Itab as supplier of these devices. All German locations of Schwarz Group's full range discounter are to be equipped with self-service terminals by the beginning of 2029.

Rewe Group's discount retailer Penny is testing a hybrid self-checkout solution from Itab in a newly opened store in Offenbach an der Queich. The Vision Hybrid system, developed by Swedish shopfitting and retail technology specialist, enables the retailer to use the same space as either a manned checkout or a self-checkout area.
