Retail Insight strengthens team with Andy Brockway

Retail Insight has appointed Andy Brockway as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Andy Brockway was a founding member of insurance and financial services price comparison website Confused.com and played a key role in the company’s technology development. Retail Insight helps its clients such as Kroger, Asda and regional British Co-op groups to optimise store processes using data with the aim of reducing both stock-outs and food waste.

The move is part of Retail Insight’s growth plans to accelerate the product roadmap and innovation strategy for its software solutions that help retailers and their suppliers realise the full potential of every store. As CTO of Retail Insight, Andy Brockway will be tasked with aligning the company’s technology initiatives with its overall strategy for growth and innovation.

He will also lead the development of new solutions that build on Retail Insight’s technology platform, which serves more than 115,000 users daily and now processes more than 10 per cent of the world’s grocery data, with over two trillion calculations generated by the platform every week.

Massive expansion plans

The appointment of Andy Brockway is the latest in a series of strategic international appointments that will underpin and accelerate Retail Insight’s ambitious growth trajectory in key international retail markets in North America and Europe. In 2023, for example, the company announced the appointment of Florian Strecker, as Vice President for the DACH region and Fabien Thomas as Sales Director for France. Looking ahead to 2024, Retail Insight plans to double the number of employees worldwide and open new offices in Düsseldorf, Maastricht, Paris and Dubai.
