Kesko

Kesko has commissioned Austrian intralogistics specialist Knapp to automate its planned new logistics centre. With the new facility in the municipality of Nurmijärvi, north of Helsinki, the Finnish grocery retailer aims to make its supply chain more efficient and flexible, preparing it for further growth.

Kesko Senukai will equip all 94 of its Senukai-DIY stores with electronic shelf labels from Vusion. The leading DIY retailer in the three Baltic states, which is operated as a joint venture between Finnish retail giant Kesko and the Rakauskas family, is also testing Vusion's Captana solution for automatic inventory control using shelf cameras and computer vision.

Schnucks has equipped 22 of its grocery stores in the US with smart salad bars from Swedish specialist supplier Picadeli. Digital technologies and AI automate replenishment, optimise inventory and enable produce traceability.
