Vusion completes acquisition of retail media company ISM
Vusion has completed the acquisition of In-Store Media (ISM). The relevant authorities have approved the transaction and all other conditions have been met. Carrefour is one of the key joint retail clients: both providers are already working extensively for the group and can now integrate in-store digitalisation and retail media marketing more closely. However, other major French retailers also work with the two companies.
In February 2026, Carrefour selected Vusion to equip all its French hypermarkets and supermarkets with connected shelves, electronic price labels and AI-powered cameras by 2030. ISM, together with Unlimitail, manages Carrefour’s retail media activities in Spain, Italy and Poland. In Spain, the service provider has recently expanded its offering to 28 advertising cycles.
Virtually the entire French food retail sector uses Vusion’s technology and, for retail media marketing, works with ISM, amongst others. Auchan, E.Leclerc, Intermarché and the Coopérative U also utilise Vusion’s technologies and ISM’s services.
Vusion brings its Connected Store platform to the consumer goods industry
Vusion now intends to combine its Connected Store platform with ISM’s marketing and campaign expertise. The joint offering is designed to better identify target audiences on the shop floor, deliver content tailored to the situation and measure the impact of advertising on sales. According to ISM, physical shops have so far accounted for less than three per cent of global retail media expenditure.
According to the latest figures, ISM works with 90 retail chains and more than 1,600 branded goods manufacturers. Founded in 1998, the company operates in nine countries across Europe, Latin America and Asia. According to previous company figures, the specialist generated a turnover of around 120 million euros in 2025.
Vusion’s Capital Markets Day (CMD) in Paris
ISM will take part in Vusion’s Capital Markets Day (CMD) in Paris on 18 November 2026. At the event, the group intends to explain the role that digital in-store retail media is set to play in its medium-term strategy. Vusion also plans to present the growth opportunities arising from the acquisition.
