Marks & Spencer (M&S) has appointed John Hunt as Chief Digital and Technology Officer. He is set to move from Woolworths Australia to the British retail group this summer to head up the Digital, Data and Technology division.

The cash handling specialist Glory Global Solutions intends to completely acquire British POS software provider Flooid. With the acquisition, the Japanese technology supplier aims to expand its retail portfolio beyond the cash handling machine business.

For the 16th time, EHI Retail Institute this week announced the winners of the Retail Technology Awards Reta. The eight-member international jury of the award includes Retail Optimiser editors Björn Weber and Joachim Pinhammer as well as the publisher of the British trade magazine Retail Technology, Miya Knights.

After Delivery Hero and Jokr, Flink has now also decided to optimise its goods processes with solutions from Finnish specialist Relex. The rapid delivery service wants to improve its inventory and shelf space along the entire flow of goods.
