Werner & Mertz optimises product content with Bayard Consulting Group

Werner & Mertz has chosen Bayard Consulting Group’s SyncManager platform to capture and provide its product content. The solution automatically checks the quality of the data for completeness, consistency and plausibility — also according to the rules of DQX, the GS1 data quality service required by German retail companies. In this way, the branded goods manufacturer can already ensure that it meets the extensive quality requirements of the retail trade when entering the data.

Werner & Mertz now supplies retailers with the quality-checked data via b-synced. The GDSN data pool of Bayard Consulting Group replaces the Atrify data pool at the manufacturer of brands such as Frosch, emsal and Green Care Professional. Via the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN), manufacturers communicate product content to their retail customers in a standardised manner throughout the industry.

SyncManager also for e-commerce content

Werner & Mertz also uses SyncManager to provide retailers with digital assets such as product images and the safety information data sheets required for household cleaners. These images can be used by retailers for their online store content, for example.

Werner & Mertz is initially using the Bayard Consulting Group solutions for the German and Austrian markets. Leading on from the success of this pilot phase, expansion to other European markets is envisaged.

“The service, the products and the concept of the Bayard Consulting Group convinced us. Not least, the attractive price for the solutions, which already include digital asset management, motivated us to switch,” reports Thomas Ruckes, Coordinator Strategy Master Data Management at Werner & Mertz.
