Canada’s LCBO modernises IT with GK and Blue Yonder

Canada’s largest alcoholic beverage retailer, Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO), has selected GK Software’s Cloud4Retail solution as part of its multi-year Future State Modernisation (FSM) transformation programme. The aim of the programme is to renew and strengthen the foundation of LCBO’s IT infrastructure. In addition to GK, the retailer has also opted for Adobe, Blue Yonder, Manhattan Associates, Microsoft, Mirakl, Opterus, Pegasystems, SAP and Salesforce.

The state-owned beer, wine and spirits retailer chose GK to streamline its processes, increase customer loyalty and offer more omnichannel options to its customers. GK’s Retail Store Inventory Management (SIM) solution is one of the tools that LCBO will implement together with SAP Retail as its central merchandise management system system.

It aims to reduce time to market by standardising processes and leveraging cutting-edge technology, while providing a personalised, seamless experience for wholesale and retail customers. By implementing GK’s technology, LCBO will not only replace its existing inventory management, order management and point-of-sale systems, but also set new standards for efficiency and customer centricity.
