4POS and Pan Oston, both part of Pan Oston Holding, have acquired a stake in the Berlin-based IT service provider Migrasys, thereby deepening their long-standing collaboration. The aim of this European alliance is to integrate expertise in POS technology, fulfilment and service more closely.
The partnership will offer retail companies a comprehensive range of services covering the entire technology lifecycle – from planning and hardware provision through to installation, maintenance and lifecycle management. Migrasys already works closely with Pan Oston Holding.
The Berlin-based company employs around 150 staff and provides IT services for the retail sector. Among other things, Migrasys supports retail companies with the roll-out and maintenance of point-of-sale systems, self-checkout solutions, digital signage systems, as well as network and communications technology. As Pan Oston Holding’s service and fulfilment partner, the IT service provider handles the assembly and staging of new devices.
Greater growth together
At its sites in Berlin-Wedding and Schönefeld, Migrasys has 6,300 square metres of logistics, production and service space, where thousands of systems are prepared annually for use in the retail sector. Devices from various manufacturers – including self-checkouts, point-of-sale systems and digital signage units – are pre-configured and assembled there for installation in stores.
Through this investment, Pan Oston Holding aims to expand its market presence in Europe in collaboration with Migrasys. Furthermore, the companies plan to further develop their activities in the areas of refurbishment, as well as the reprocessing and remarketing of hardware. The aim is to extend the product life cycles of technologies and offer retail companies more sustainable service processes.
Generational handover at Migrasys
“Our collaboration with Migrasys has proved exceptionally successful over many years,” says Rolf Thomann, Board Member of Pan Oston Holding and CEO of 4POS: “Through this investment, we are combining our strengths even more closely and creating a comprehensive range of services for our customers, covering POS technology, fulfilment and service.”
As part of this reorganisation, Migrasys is also undergoing a generational handover. Company founder Frank Jacob is handing over operational management to his son Toni Jacob, who has been part of the management team since 2024. Frank Jacob will remain with the company in an advisory capacity.
Companies remain independent
According to the companies, 4POS, Pan Oston and Migrasys will continue to operate independently on the market, retaining their brands, locations and existing management, as well as staff structures.
