US convenience store operator Casey's General Stores will use Relex Solutions to optimise inventory, demand planning and space planning.

Germany's largest retail organisation, Edeka Group, will optimise the orders and stocks of all its stores and distribution centres with the AI-based software platform of Relex. The decision represents a Copernican shift in the Edeka Group's IT strategy. Until now, the German retail giant has managed its inventory management systems exclusively with SAP and SAP partner solutions.

Tegut will be one of the first retailers in Europe to optimise its prices, stocks, floor space and shelf placement from a unified sales forecast. To achieve this, the Fulda-based grocery store chain, which is part of Migros Zurich, will implement Relex's AI-based solution together with Competera's price optimisation tool. Relex Solutions has acquired Formulate, a Swedish promotion planning and analytics company. One of the joint users of Formulate and Relex is the Swedish Coop, whose Värmland region is one of Relex's early customers in the field of inventory optimisation, but also staff planning.

Bünting is upgrading its Nortmoor central distribution centre with warehouse automation technology from Dematic. A shuttle storage system and autonomous conveyor technology are to increase capacity and productivity of the operation.

Bünting enables customers of its new Combi City store in Emden to shop autonomously at off-peak hours. Technology from Wanzl controls and monitors the unmanned operation.

Drugstore chain Müller has implemented automated replenishment at its four central logistic hubs. It thus expands deployment of the Relex Living Retail Platform, which the company is already using for forecasting and replenishment of its stores.

At the first inner city store of its Combi format, Bünting sells 500 articles fully automatically around the clock. This is the first use of the automatic store, which Wanzl and the Knapp subsidiary KHT presented at this year's EuroShop in Düsseldorf.
