Carrefour has selected the Strongpoint’s solution to enhance the efficiency of its in-store picking in Belgium. The order picking solution from Strongpoint emerged as the preferred choice due to its strong alignment with Carrefour’s operational needs. The manual picking system is specifically engineered for grocery retail and reportedly boasts an average manual picking rate of 240 items per hour.

British retailer Morrisons is currently trialling an in-store technology from Norway-based Strongpoint. It enables customers to purchase quit-smoking products from a dedicated touchscreen interface directly embedded in the aisle’s shelf.

Norwegian retail technology specialist Strongpoint has announced the cancellation of its long-standing distribution agreement with electronic shelf label (ESL) provider Pricer, which included a number of exclusive agreements. This decision comes in the wake of a new agreement with VusionGroup.

Sainsbury's is deploying software from Norwegian provider Strongpoint to pick food home deliveries from its stores. With the move, the British retailer aims to process customer orders more efficiently and accurately.

Maxima is expanding its fleet of self-checkouts in the Baltics. The retail company agreed on a framework contract with Norwegian manufacturer Strongpoint, which is to install at least 1,000 systems within three years. Maxima had previously purchased self-checkouts from Diebold Nixdorf.

Retailers are increasingly turning to cash handling automation. According to a recent study by British analyst group RBR, the number of cash handling systems installed in retailers' stores increased by more than 20 per cent between the end of 2019 and 2022, to more than 900,000 devices worldwide.

Norwegian DIY retailer Maxbo has signed a contract with StrongPoint to roll out Electronic Shelf Price Labels (ESLs) from Pricer across its stores. The DIY retailer, which is part of Løvenskiold Handel, will start the installation in the first quarter of 2023 and plans to have it completed by the end of 2024.

Lithuanian supermarket chain Iki, part of Rewe Group has decided to implement workforce management software Reflexis from Zebra Technologies.
